Kevin and Melany spent the fourth visiting Brent and Loni in California. I am glad they could get together. Emily shared some beautiful family pictures they did on the fourth of July.

The Fourth of July was a quiet celebration for us. We had Dan and Danica over for dinner. Later Craig and I watched fireworks at the Orem Community hospital parking lot. They were great fireworks. Provo made it possible for more people to enjoy the fireworks by doing them at three locations.

June Blessings

We continue to be limited in what we can do outside of our home and yard, but we have tried be productive. We are grateful that our garden is doing well and the flowers in the yard are beautiful. This is the month when my roses really produce and I love bringing a bouquet indoors. I finished a rag quilt I was making for a late shower gift. I continue to practice the piano. I have also been able to find names to reserve for the temple. It has been good to clean out the shed and the garage. We had a lunch with all my living siblings. It was good to be together. Bruce and Sally brought Lori and Karen and we were pleased to visit with them as well. Unfortunately, Craig was sick and could not join us. We were especially grateful to go back to church today. It was wonderful to worship with other ward members. I am grateful we were prepared to worship at home when the pandemic began, and could have continued to do it, but we miss being with our ward family. June 5th was our home's 42 birthday. We are grateful for this sacred place in our lives for all those years.

Happy Yellow Day
This is the day the rating changed from orange to yellow, meaning we could have gatherings of fifty or more. We had dinner in the evening and everyone enjoyed getting together, even though not so many were fond of the hawaiian haystacks. I though it fit the yellow theme well and we also had lemon meringue pie for dessert.

Topaz Mountain

When Craig got up this morning I could tell he needed a change in routine. I said, "Why don't we got to Topaz mountain. I called Richard for directions and he and Kathy decided to go too. It was about two hours away. We had a good lunch at a restaurant in Delta. Craig and Kathy hunted for Topaz when we got there, while Richard and I sat in camp chairs and had a nice visit. Richard let us do some target practice with Kathy's gun while we were there. It was good to get out and have a change of Pace.

Our trip to Montana
May 27-30 2020
Craig and I got to go and see Debbie and Jim and Katherine at their cabin in Montana. They had been in quarantine for a while after arriving from Massachusetts. It was great to go to the mountains and forget the pandemic for a few days. It wasn't hot but it was pleasant. Debbie took us to Big Springs in Island Park. We took a nature walk around the springs. It was so peaceful and It was such a beautiful day. It felt something like being in the temple. I made hamburger soup and rolls for Debbie and her family. Debbie let me use her canvas and paints and taught be some tips about oil painting. We did some reading and took some walks. It was very relaxing. We were blessed to be able to go.

Memorial Day

We got together for lunch on Memorial day. We had hamburgers, hot dogs, potato salad chips and watermelon, with Texas sheet cake for dessert. The older family members enjoyed playing volleyball in the front yard. Later they went to the park for soft polo. The younger children had fun playing around the house and yard. I think a good time was had by all. I didn't get all the pictures I wanted because I got sidetracked. Later in the day we and Kevin's family visited my parents grave in Provo.

May 2020
May has been more eventful. I had a lovely Mother's day. I had visits from Dan and Danica, Mike and Missy and Kevin and Melany brought us dinner and we celebrated Kevins birthday and Mother's day. Craig took me to Red Lobster and we got more flowers for the yard and new cushions and a cover on our lawn swing.
