March 2020

I made home-made bread and butter.

Pruning roses

Pruning Grapes and berries.

We had white bean chili for St.Patricks Day

My Anniversary Flowers

Debbie sent me this lovely picture to remind
us of the purpose of the Sabbath Day.

We had a family dinner before the social distancing hit us.  We also got to see Andrea's puppet show.
Lauren was a devoted sister and clapped and shouted Bravo every time the class finished a song.

Andreas show was the Three Little Pigs.

Then came the isolation and we had to learn a new song:
Oh what do you do in a quarantine?
If that wasn't enough to rattle us, we had an earth quake as well.

Suddenly Emergency Preparedness
Really Hit Home.

We did have a nice quiet 49th Anniversary.  We got takeout food from  Red Lobster, and watched a movie

February 2020

We had a nice dinner to celebrate February birthdays at the beginning of the month.  We attended Grant's Eagle court of Honor on February 9th.  On  the 12th we flew to Monterey to visit Brent and Loni and their family.  We stayed with the girls the first night we were there so Brent and Loni could have a belated anniversary celebration.  The next morning, while the girls were in school we took a long walk down fisherman's wharf and cannery row and we saw a wonderful aquarium.  The next day we spent some more time looking around with Brent and Loni.  Friday night we went to Oakland and stayed in a house.  Brent and Loni went to the temple while we watched the girls.  The next morning Craig and I got to go to the temple.  We did some touring in San Franscisco after that.  We enjoyed a nice Sabbath day together.  In the evening we watched the Fighting Preacher.
I finished Mary's quilt

We received our mission call to the Virginia, Richmond Mission
on February 11th.

I painted one of my geranium plants.

We attended Grant's court of Honor.

We loved the aquarium

Happy 2020

January 2020
January was a month of waiting for our mission call.  It was a time that called for patience.  It has also been a time to do a little catching up.  I have been working on photo albums for our grandchildren and Craig has been working on recording memories from his mission in New Zealand. It has been good to have some quiet time to catch our breath.  I spent time working on a quilt for Mary, practicing the piano and doing family history.  I started attending a water color class.  We attended a birthday party for Andrea.  Of course we set goals for the coming year.

My Goals for 2020

Read at least thirty books and write a brief summary of them.

Make time for the work of Salvation every day.

Make two quilts.

Practice the piano at least five days a week.

Whenever possible avoid eating after 6 o’clock at night.

Serve a mission with Craig.

We spoke in Sacrament meeting on January 25 and the next day we did a family home evening lesson for the nearby care center.  They were both good experiences.
Beautiful little Octavia!

This was a gorgeous sunset coming out of the temple one night.

Grandma and Grandpa's little doll.
