May in Michigan

May 1, 2019
We flew to Michigan to have our spring visit with Emily and her family.  We had a nice visit.  We have been there so often it feels almost like our second home.  We enjoyed some nice days together.  We went to a botanical garden with Emily and Gwenda, (Olivia and Mary were in school). The next day we visited Grand Rapids to visit a cemetery for some of Craig's ancestors.  We had a good dinner at the Olive garden and we enjoyed a swim in the afternoon and morning in the hotel.  At first the girls were nervous in the water and then after a while they really gained confidence.  The hot tub felt really good afterward.  The next morning we took a trip to Holland for another tulip festival.  It was the closes we will ever get to the Netherlands.   There were charming dutch buildings and people in dutch costumes and a big windmill.  Of course there were lots of tulips because it was a tulip festival.  There were lots of cute souvenirs from Holland.  It was a lovely day for it.  We attended church on Sunday.  We had a little early birthday celebration for Daniel later that day.  We returned on Monday.

We helped with family pictures when we were there.

Tulip Festival

April 20, 2019
Craig and I and Debbie and Missy attended the tulip festival at Thanksgiving point.  It was nice to spend the time together.  We had lunch together afterward.  The following week we attended it again and this time invited two of our friends.
