Happy Birthday Charity

Our granddaughter, Charity turned 12 today.  I had the privilege of attending her first young women's activity.  Melany had to be at pack meeting with the other children and Kevin had meetings.  We had a delicious assortment of food from around the world and we watched a video about the things the young women had accomplished this past year.

Happy Thanksgiving 2018

We celebrated Thanksgiving day with Missy and Mike.  We were glad to have a chance to visit with Jessica and Merynne.  Today we had our children over to have our family Thanksgiving dinner.  We had a delicious meal together.  It snowed a little today but it didn't last long.  Afterward we had a little Thanksgiving trivia and talked about the great spiritual blessings we enjoy.  We also watched a really good movie, "Christopher Robin".  Some of the family enjoyed a chin-up competition.  Kevin came in as the winner on that.

It was a big group.  We are thankful we could seat everyone.

A Trip to Cedar City

We recently took a trip to Cedar City to see Janis and Brent's grandaughter get married.  After the ceremony,  Craig and I stayed in the temple and did two sealing sessions.  The Cedar City Temple was beautiful. Later we had a good dinner with Brent and Janis.  We attended the reception that evening and had a chance to visit with Jaylene.  The next day we stopped at Dan and Danica's so we could see their children's primary program.

Joseph's Quilt of Many Colors

Recently I finally finished a quilt for Joseph.  Debbie helped me tie it.  It always gives me a sense of accomplishment to finish quilt.

We visited Avery's school for Dude's and Doughnuts.  It was fun to read to her at her school.

We took Danica's and Melany's children to Thanksgiving point to celebrate Marshall's birthday.  He really wanted to go to the Curiosity museum for his birthday.  

After ward we went to Kevin and Melany's for dinner and cake.

Our Trip to Michigan

We had a good visit with Emily and her family this month.  We celebrated Olivia's birthday.  We saw Mary on her primary program.  We spent a day at Frankenmuth, including our favorite visit to Bronner's the giant Christmas store and dinner at Zenders.  We attended the ward Halloween Party.  We carved pumpkins and went trick or treating with Mary and Gwenda.  Those little girls really had staying power for trick or treating.  Houses in Michigan are more spread out so it took extra effort to trick or treat.  We enjoyed some movies, Emily's good cooking, cider and doughnuts and just visiting.

Gwenda was a cutie.  Everytime Grandpa forgot to put his glasses on, she would say,"Grandpa where are your glasses?"  I guess he didn't seem like grandpa without them.  It was a good trip.  It felt like we celebrated Halloween and Christmas with Emily and the Girls.

A trip to the Cabin

We took a trip to Cameron Montana and we visited Yellowstone park while we were there.  We saw the falls at Yellowstone.  It was a very impressive sight.  America's national parks really are a treasure.  The day after we arrived, Debbie and Jim and Joseph and Katherine came. They brought Grant and Charity as well.  Debbie and I did some painting.  One of the days we went to Wade Lake and the guys did some fishing.  It was a nice relaxing trip.

Our Family Halloween Party

We held our annual family Halloween Party, complete with homemade soup, chili and french bread and after dinner, our pumpkin walk.  Trick or treating was a hit and everyone got plenty of candy.  It was good to get together.
